Please check very carefully for older copies of the DynaZIP components on the target machine. Even though you may be sure that you did not place any other DynaZIP files on the machine, remember that DynaZIP is now in use by many thousands of developers. We guarantee backward compatibility, but not forward. In other words, newer versions of DynaZIP will run with applications built for older versions, but not the inverse. Replace or (carefully) remove all old copies of our DLLs, OCXs, VBXs, and progress monitors. To help you, we provide a program, DZVER, that can be downloaded from this page. DZVER will find all occurrances of DynaZIP-16 related files and displays their version number and location on your computer. It also displays which one, if any, is loaded.
