The shot Alignment Guide shows you where the Cue ball will strike the object ball. When the guide becomes brighter, it is touching the edge of the ball. The point at which the guide and the ball are touching is the point where the cue ball will strike the object ball.

Note: You can turn the display of the Power Bar off by pressing the SPACE bar on your keyboard. This can be make the Alignment Guide easier to see, especially if you are using a very strong shot.
